Some Basic Knowledge about Eyes
Normally, people may have presbyopia at the age of 50. But nowadays, more and more young people get presbyopia. The main reason is the excess use of eyes. Most young people have to work for a long time and use their eyes more often.
For example, at work they can’t avoid looking at computer screens and they will watch TV or read newspapers after work. These all lead the exhaustion of eyes and the early emerge of presbyopia.
One of the old myths about eyes is that they won’t get presbyopia if they are already shortsighted. Actually, presbyopia is unavoidable for every body. Shortsighted people will get presbyopia once they get the certain age. The symptom is that it feels uncomfortable to see things close with the original glasses. And this suggests a new pair of glasses.
Some people will go and get presbyopic glasses at random after they find out that they have presbyopia. Their only requirement of the glasses is that they can see clearly with it. This is absolutely wrong. Presbyopic glasses also have degrees. Some one even has to wear one pair of presbyopic glasses with different degrees for each eye. It will do big harm to the eyes to wear the presbyopic glasses with incorrect degree for a long time. The correct way is to have a careful examination in formal hospital and to wear the presbyopic glasses which fit the eyes well.
Nobody wants to wear a pair of presbyopic glasses at a young age. This takes people more care of their eyes. The bottom line is they can not leave their eyes tired all the time.
Here is some easy steps with which people can make their eyes refreshed.
The first step is to make sure the eyes get enough rest. Adults should sleep for 6 hours per day. The best time for eyes to rest is from 11:00 pm to 3:00 am. It means only by falling asleep before 11:00 pm can one’s eyes have the best rest.
The second step is to relax the eyes regularly during the daytime, especially when one’s work involving long time staring at things close. The time between two relaxations should not be longer than 1 hour and each time the eyes should have rest for at least 10 minutes. People can just let the sight off the screen or books and to look into the distance, or do some simple eyes exercise and move around a little bit.
It will certainly do well in the long run.
